Responsibilities This is a full-time remote position within the United States.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build API management features and enable enterprise integrations.
These solutions will leverage cloud computing, virtual networks, enterprise data and machine learning technologies to extend and migrate existing API management solutions to the Google Cloud Platform.
Will work with system architects to deliver a comprehensive API management environment that meets performance, uptime goals, security, resilience, and scalability requirements.
Will work closely with solution teams to enable and support APIs that benefit Mayo research, practice, and its patients.
Responsibilities include: Working closely with the Product Owners and System Architects to translate requirements into code.
Participation in DevOps, Agile, continuous development and integration frameworks.
Programming in high-level languages such as C, C++, C#, R, Python, Java etc.
Ensuring documentation of processes and source code is created and maintained.
Communicating effectively with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization.
Participating in expert troubleshooting to resolve problems through root cause analysis, data and system investigation.
Contributing to design and architecture discussions with Principals and Architects.
Solving complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Working independently and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
A Codility Test is required as part of the candidate selection process.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience as noted below; OR an Associate’s degree in Computer/Science/Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience.
Knowledge of cloud engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Agile software development techniques Experience with API Management platforms Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of network security and API security standards Knowledge of HL7 FHIR API standards Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Apigee technologies Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record Experience with databases, analytics, big data systems or business intelligence products Experience building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems Experience developing software for healthcare related industries Experience with Terraform to assist build of infrastructure as code Knowledge of Cloud API Platform technology and service configurations (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) Knowledge of CI/CD lifecycle services in the cloud Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.
