Responsibilities This is a limited tenure position that has been approved for 2 years.
The Data and AI Integration Section within the Enterprise Platform Services division is seeking an Automation Test Developer to provide software quality assurance services focused on data products within the Advanced Data Lake (ADL) portion of the Mayo Clinic Cloud (MCC).
The ADL within MCC is a GCP-based Cloud platform that manages raw, integrated and specialized data from numerous data sources and makes it available to consumers for analytics and application use.
This position will report to the Data and AI Integration Services Section, but may be utilized as a shared service within the larger EPS division as needed.
The person filling this job will join a team of highly skilled data and software engineers who build, deliver and support complex data products.
The focus of this role will be to develop, automate and improve data validation and test capabilities.
This position provides software quality assurance services for projects and systems.
Supports the development of deliverables, which include performance and compliance metrics, and audit tracking.
Defines, performs and documents product validation for new and/or modified applications.
Investigates operational and process problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
Assists in the execution of quality reviews under the direction of the project team or a senior quality colleague.
Develop & maintain advanced software automation framework and test scripts that are used by the system testers.
Automation Developer must be capable of supporting custom APIs between tools.
Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in software development or software testing, or test automation, and 1 year of demonstrated technical experience in test automation; or an Associate's degree and 5 years of professional experience in software development or software testing and test automation and 1 year of demonstrated technical experience in test automation; or 9 years of professional experience in software development or software testing, or test automation and 1 year of demonstrated technical experience in test automation is required.
Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures from a field of specialization (testing, software development, or data management).
Performs workflow analysis and identifies quality improvement.
Must possess strong analytical thinking skills, excellent documentation skills, an ability to interact with people at all levels and possess skills in coping with ambiguous situations.
Project management skills are preferred.
Must have the ability to direct projects; participate in teams and work independently to make decisions appropriate for the business and technical environment.
Evidence of strong communication, presentation, mentoring, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
Able to gain an understanding of the applicable systems and business operational practices and procedures as relates to product validation.
Able to cross-analyze software development documentation (business requirements, function specification, design specification) to ascertain system functionality / features.
Experienced with software development lifecycles as they relate to product verification and validation.
Experienced with the preparation of testing reports and coordinating project testing.
Experienced with mentoring test colleagues and project teams on the software test process.
Knowledge of test management and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience working in a GCP environment with Big Query, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Python, Java and CI/CD Pipelines Required experience working with databases, data warehouses and SQL Preferred experience working within an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.

Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
