Responsibilities This is a full time remote position within the United States.
The Cardiology department requires a Software Engineer to work closely with the business on Cardiology datamarts, reporting needs, supporting critical in house developed systems and helping advance several Cardiology projects and initiatives.
The Software Engineer will develop and provide support for a portfolio of in-house developed applications that will develop scalable, data centric solutions, resolve problems, produce appropriate documentation, and source code for the Cardiology Systems unit.
The successful candidate will be collaborating with other engineers to analyze, integration, and transformation various data sets to develop, test, and deploy new data pipelines from a wide variety of data source formats using on premise and cloud technology to support analytics.
Candidate must have strong SQL, ETL skills and Crystal reporting experience to be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders to create visualizations that represent the needed analysis.
Candidate will be responsible for development, test, maintenance, and optimal data pipeline architecture for large-scale medical related databases in GCP using Big Query and other state of the art systems.
In addition to developing datamarts and reports, a successful candidate will be able to develop, test and deploy applications using REACT and C#.
Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position including F1 OPT STEM.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; Or an Associates’ degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with an additional 2 years of experience as described below.
· Have working knowledge and experience of Software Engineering with a minimum of internships and a minimum of 1 yr.
of experience, or 2yrs of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.
).
· Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
· Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions.
· Experience with modern application development frameworks · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
· Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience with Agile software development techniques.
Preferred qualifications for this position include: · Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud-based services.
· Experience with Google and Azure cloud environments · Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems or business intelligence products · Experience with building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems.
· Experience developing software for healthcare related industries.
Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail $88,774.
40 - $137,030.
