Responsibilities
Responsible for testing system enhancements and vendor releases prior to production implementation to ensure quality and integrity, with consideration to change in specific functionality and its impact to overall workflows (operational integration).
Utilizes billing scenarios to perform regression, user interface, performance, and system compatibility.
Creates unique billing scenarios to assist with creation of testing plans.
Alternatively or additionally, responsible for training development and delivery.
May maintain assigned tables within Revenue Cycle systems across the Enterprise Cycle systems to ensure system integrity and compliance.
May assist in small projects across multiple business systems in the Enterprise Revenue Cycle.
May assist project teams or lead small teams in project, process, web design or training discussions to assist with documentation and design concepts.
Supports the System Analyst II, III, and Senior Systems Analysts with enhancing the utilization and effectiveness of computer systems used throughout Enterprise Revenue Cycle.
Performs research and troubleshooting of specific system issues related to his/her scope of influence.
Participates in project teams and completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Reports and resolves issues with Information Technology/ERIS and other Revenue Cycle units.
Keeps other Revenue Cycle systems staff apprised on the progress of assigned tasks and any issues encountered.
Understands and is accountable for ensuring a control environment is maintained to preserve Mayo Clinic's Standard of Ethics and minimize the financial and legal risks for the organization.
Maintains a high level of customer service given changing/competing priorities.
Receives direction from multiple people while continuing to work on previously assigned tasks and/or multiple tasks simultaneously.
Works with minimal supervision.
May work weekends and evenings as needed.
Qualifications
High school or GED and a minimum 3 years relevant experience required.
Associate degree preferred.
Must be customer-service oriented, timely in responses to requests for service/information, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and able to work independently.
Knowledge of physician and hospital billing systems for governmental, managed care, and commercial payers preferred.
Knowledge of revenue cycle systems and previous healthcare experience preferred.
