At Channel One Regional Food Bank, our mission is to strengthen food access and build healthy communities.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to serve people experiencing hunger in 14 counties by filling food orders for 167 food shelves, pantries soup kitchens, shelters, and other programs across our region.
You will assist in pulling product orders from dry, cooler, and frozen storage areas, assembling, staging, and loading orders for food bank agencies, unloading and storing incoming product, and delivering orders to our regional partners or picking up product from vendors or donors as needed.
You will occasionally be required to deliver food to mobile pantry sites on a Saturday or as needed.
Your warehouse duties will also include some basic maintenance of the warehouse and facility as needed or instructed.

*Primary Responsibilities include:*
* Pull and assemble food orders from food bank inventory, utilizing forklifts and electric and/or hand pallet jacks.
* Conduct staging, final product check, and loading of any shipments as needed.
* Load orders for delivery and assist agencies when they are picking up orders.
* Unload trucks of incoming product and move product to appropriate dry, cooler, and freezer storage areas.
* Weigh in, count, and label each incoming product as needed.
* Serve as a back-up truck or van driver to deliver orders to agencies, pick up donated or purchased product, and assist with Mobile Pantry distributions as needed.
* Provide excellent customer service to agencies, donors, and others, serving as a link between our member agencies receiving deliveries and the Food Bank.
* Maintain proper shipping practices on Food Bank vehicles for all product hauled by our trucks.
* Assist with monthly maintenance of warehouse dry, cooler, and frozen space as instructed.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Minimum one year of forklift experience on either sit-down or stand-up model required.
Experience on both preferred.
* Minimum one year of experience working in a warehouse environment required.
* Minimum of one year verifiable commercial truck driver experience.
* Valid Class B CDL helpful
* Possess an unexpired Medical Examiner’s Certification Card or pass a pre-employment DOT physical exam.
* Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
* Able to read, write and understand instructions in the English language
* Possess basic math skills
* Dependable and reliable; strong customer service skills.
* Must be able to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects weighing at least 50 pounds repeatedly.
* Inventory experience and computer skills needed.
