The law office of Gorman & Lodermeier, PLC is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill two (2) Legal Assistant/Paralegal positions.
The Legal Assistants will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the law firm, including carrying out administrative tasks, and providing support to the legal team.
The ideal candidate for this position would have a minimum of 2 years experience in a law firm, a strong work ethic, exceptional problem solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace.
Real estate, litigation and/or family law experience preferred.
Pay is negotiable and will commensurate with experience.
Job Description
· Complete administrative duties such as making copies, open and close files, maintain the attorney’s calendars, answering and directing phone calls and greeting clients.
· Draft legal documents and proofread correspondence.
· Manage, organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing system.
· Correspond with counsel, court and clients.
· Improve upon administrative process for more efficient workflow.
Minimum qualifications
· Familiarity with MS office
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
· Preferred experience working as a prior legal assistant
