Our law firm has an opening for a law clerk and we are looking for a driven individual with a desire to learn our practice and be a contributing member of our team.
You’ll get hands-on experience conducting legal research and preparing memoranda, reviewing and assisting with estate planning documents, sitting in on client meetings, and understanding real estate transactions.
You’ll also prepare business documents, review applicable case law, and learn about probate requirements.

We have been expanding our firm throughout Southeastern Minnesota, and now have four offices in Rochester, Winona, St.
Charles, and Lake City.

Compensation:
$23 hourly
Responsibilities:
Develop good client rapport and learn how to work with clients on complex legal matters.
Type the first drafts of estate planning documents, business documents, and the like.
Perform legal research related to tax law, real estate law, and probate law.
Organize and maintain estate and trust administration files to ensure all information is neatly categorized and up to date.
Qualifications:
Display attention to detail and strong work ethic
Minimum one year of experience working in the legal industry
Current law school student with a bachelor’s degree or recent law school graduate
Take or have already successfully passed state bar exam
Excellent writing skills and communication skills to participate in oral arguments effectively
