What You’ll Do:
Supervise Maintenance A, B, and C Mechanics.
Must have a full complement of tools to use both during and in between packs.
Thorough knowledge of all production and processing systems, including meat operation procedures.
Formulate parts orders for all machines and keep an efficient and accurate inventory of all parts necessary for stock.
Keep an open line of communication with subordinates.
Develop work schedules.
Estimate time and materials for specific jobs and be cost conscious at the same time.
Take control of assigned areas of the operation to assure the completion of all tasks involved in prepack and day-to-day pack operations.
Responsible for the operation, care and upkeep of all company owned tools and equipment that his/her department uses.
Must have knowledge of plant sanitation regulations and any sanitation situations which might pose a public health problem.
Ensure the product is being handled and packed under the best possible conditions.
Oversee sanitation (clean-up) of pre-pack and day-to-day pack operations
What You’ll Bring:
Must Pass MECHANIC MASTER Certification test provided by Lakeside Foods.
Two years Vo-Tech Training in equipment maintenance and/or five years experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
Prior welding experience is a plus
