Responsibilities: Job Summary: The Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and constructing a range of data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
This position involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies including cloud computing, big data, mobile, data science, and machine learning to develop robust and scalable solutions.
The Software Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the developed micro-services meet uptime, accuracy, and scalability targets.
Additionally, the role entails translating requirements into code, participating in DevOps practices, and contributing to continuous development and integration frameworks.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Design and develop cloud-based micro-services to support data-centric clinical and analytic applications, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical practices and patient care.
Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Develop services around data warehousing, big data processing, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
Participate in DevOps practices, including Agile methodologies, continuous development, and integration frameworks.
Utilize high-level programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
, to implement robust and scalable solutions.
Implement deployment automation and configuration management using tools such as ADO, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Azure Pipelines, CloudFormation, and Terraform within a DevOps model.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes and source code is created and maintained.
Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers across the organization.
Participate in expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of issues through root cause analysis and system investigation.
Continuously build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
Perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments using prescribed guidelines or policies, receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Minimum of 1 year of working knowledge and experience in Software Engineering, including internships, or minimum of 2 years of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.
).
Demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills.
Strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions.
Experience with modern application development frameworks.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Deep hands-on technical expertise.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Agile software development techniques.
Preferred: Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud-based services.
Experience with Google and Azure cloud environments.
Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems, or business intelligence products.
Experience with building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems.
Experience developing software for healthcare-related industries.
Experience: Strong front-end development experience.
Some back-end experience.
Test-driven development.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with DevOps.
Experience with layouts.
Automated testing.
